Inventory Planning
Reorder triggers, buffers, critical spares and uncertain demand.
Open guideExplore the classic EOQ relationship with editable annual demand, order cost and holding cost.
Classic EOQ assumes stable demand, stable costs and no stockouts. It does not include supplier minimums, shelf life, capacity or quantity discounts unless you review them separately.
Treat the output as a transparent planning comparison. Check the item, unit, location, status, dates and open transactions before acting. A mathematically correct result can still be operationally wrong when the inputs describe unavailable or incorrectly recorded stock.
Print or copy the result with the assumptions used. Replace estimates with verified information as receipts, counts, inspections and returns become known.
This calculator is not an accounting record, audit, purchase authorization, safety procedure, engineering result, stock policy or guarantee against shortages, excess, damage or loss.
